Items we accept

All accepted works will have a sense of completeness. Works can require payment or be free; however, note that we don't have mechanisms for selling anything directly on AltSalt.

Our ever-evolving list of accepted items includes, but is not limited to...

• Zines
• Comics
• Story-driven video games
• Visual literature
• Poetry books
• Electronic literature
• Computational poetry
• Multimedia literature
• Blog posts (essays, prose)
• Artwork (soon — this is a work in progress)
• Excerpts from novels or other long-form publications

• Zines — artzines, perzines, poetry zines, all zines
• Comics, especially ones with BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, cis women, or folks with disabilities in lead writing or art positions
• Story-driven games, especially if there's reading involved
• Electronic literature, visual literature, poetry generators
• Honestly, anything by anyone will probably make it in as long as it doesn't violate our community guidelines

At the end of the day, we just want to create a space for alternative voices and alternative literary formats! If this resonates with you, we’d love to have your work as part of the community.
